Ok, I was planning to use a webcam strapped to my shoulder, and a laptop in my backpack so i could video everything that happens during my day (the reason I am using a laptop is so I don’t have to keep changing memory cards - that way i am only limited to the size of the HDD). Unfortunately when testing it with my friend’s eyetoy webcam, walking around caused the video to stop while the camera readjusted itself. Has anyone tried something like this with a camera strapped to them or does anyone know of any camera that will connect to a computer that will produce decent video when I am walking around. I know that the new Oregon Scientific ATC-3K has the ability to be used as a webcam, and I have an ATC-2K which produces alright video.

What is the cheapest way/place to buy an HP tablet notebook? Will better offers arise in the future?

I’m looking at the TX2510us or a modified version. Currently HP is offering a 400 dollar off coupon off purchases over 1300. However, I know that HP has offered 500 dolllar off coupons in the past. How often fo these 500 off coupons appear and is it worth it to go for the current 400 off coupon or wait for a better coupon?

I have a notebook computer that has nothing on it but VGA out, in terms of video out capabilities (not even S-Video). I also don’t know any of the capabilities of the graphics card, and so I don’t know whether or not it can output a ‘TV signal’. What is the cheapest way to allow me to view my computer screen on a TV using either Component or HDMI (preferabally Component) ?

For some reason, my laptop battery suddenly stopped working.
The only thing that I could think of that may have initiated this is that I put my laptop in my backpack (turned completely off) for about an hour. It was in a laptop cover, and there wasn’t any room in the bag for it to move, so its almost impossible for that to have done anything (the only other thing in the bag was clothes.
When the battery is in, the battery icon says plugged in, not charging. The laptop is only about 9-10 months old. Also, I know that the problem is the battery and not the AC adapter. it is 90% charged, and yesterday, when I unplugged the adapter to move the laptop, it just shut off. I’ve tried taking out and putting the battery back in, both while the computer is off an on, but no luck.
An interesting note I might add.
I bought the computer 10 months ago, (I remember it was on black friday in november, no doubt). When I called Lenovo customer service (its a lenovo 3000 n100 laptop), they said my warranty expired yesterday!!!!! That makes no fucking sense to me. How can my warranty expire after 10 months. According to them, I bought it on september 26, 2007, so I know they’re full of BS.
Plus, according to this site I found online:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovolndocid=MIGR-69671
My laptop battery should be covered for upto 18 months after warranty start date, because this battery has been known to cause problems (and yes, I checked all the numbers and all).
